Texada Island Heritage Society Official opening of the "Clarence Wood" Room Saturday, July 5th, 2014 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Location: Van Anda Museum Clarence Wood a former curator at the Barkerville and Kilby Museums came to Texada Island with his wife Karen May and became involved with the Texada Island Heritage Society and used his knowledge to develop our Texada Island Museum first in Blubber Bay then later on the Van Anda Museum. Before Clarence passed away he left us a detailed plan of what he thought would make our Van Anda Museum a first world class museum equaling those he had designed in the past. We use that plan as a guideline and as you will have to agree our new room is just that.
